A pre-pay program allows you to pay for your entire annual fuel supply before the heating season begins, so you benefit from a lower preseason price per gallon.
With a budget plan, your total annual fuel supply is estimated and spread out over the course of the year into small monthly payments.
For both options, you will never pay more per gallon than the capped price you lock in at the time of enrollment.
